Reconfigure existing annexe

This project involves redesigning an existing annexe to optimize its functionality and living experience.
The goal is to create an open floor plan combining the kitchen and living area for a seamless flow between these functions. A well-appointed bathroom is also desired, including both a bath and facilities for laundry. An efficient lobby stair configuration is needed to access an upstairs bedroom in a space-savvy manner. Clever storage solutions are wanted throughout as it is a relatively small footprint at roughly 7x4 meters.
To keep costs down all windows and external doors must remain in their current locations. Access to the main house is not required, but the door will likely have to remain in place.
The selected designer must have knowledge of UK building codes, fire regulations and safety standards to ensure full compliance throughout this renovation. Structural elements, materials and design features must adhere to all legal requirements. The clients have provided measured drawings of the existing structure to aid initial concept planning.
Creativity and problem-solving abilities and required to reinvent the layout within the existing footprint.
Candidates should demonstrate relevant experience streamlining living spaces and an aptitude for visualizing optimal functionality given practical constraints.
