Since our company's inception, we have been managing and optimizing the largest digital screen networks in the world. We are currently looking for an experienced Wordpress Designer and Developer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be an integral part in helping us build our brand – creatively driving the vision of our website, branding, marketing collateral, and more. * Edison Interactive is a venture-backed SaaS company in Denver, CO with satellite offices across the country. POSITION OVERVIEW The WordPress Designer and Developer will be responsible for working collaboratively and partnering with cross-functional teams and customers to create websites, landing pages and more that align with our customer and business goals. You will be responsible for both the front-end and back-end development, including the implementation of themes and plugins. To be successful, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming language, a keen eye for aesthetics and strong content management skills. As a world-class designer and developer, you create attractive, user-friendy websites that drive leads and provide exceptional experiences to the end-user. Here is an example of the website design (NOTE: This will ultimately need to be designed in Wordpress): https://hendr130.wixsite.com/website RESPONSIBILITIES Work with internal and external stakeholders to discuss the required design and functionality of the website Design and build the website front-end Create website architecture and sitemaps Design and manage website back-end Generate WordPress themes and plugins Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security and functional requirements Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of projects Conduct performance analysis and recommend improvements REQUIREMENTS Proven work experience as a successful WordPress Developer Experience in a SaaS-related organization a plus Enterprise experience also a plus Advanced knowledge and development experience in PHP, CSS/HTML, JavaScript, jQuery (and/or similar JS libraries), MySQL (or other database management systems) ASP, and web servers (ISS/Apache) is a plus Extensive experience in custom web application development Knowledge of code versioning tools like GIT or similar Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics Strong understanding of SEO Previous experience designing and building websites for SaaS Strong project management and communication skills SKILLS WE VALUE AT EDISON INTERACTIVE You’re a strong communicator - You communicate like a boss because you are one.
