Rename SharePoint domain using PowerShell

Description

Hello. I require our SharePoint domain to be renamed from the default to another domain that we own. The new domain is set up and verified within the MS365 tenant, however I'm hitting a problem with the PowerShell script which says the domain is not available. It may be a simple error on my part.

We are a digital agency with too much work atm to facilitate this but we have created some designs for a kickstarter type website and need someone to develop it into wordpress for us but If a good job is done on this we will have more ongoing work.
