We have a collection of different Google Sheets and Google Forms used internally for our various business processes. These are often supplemented with Google Apps scripts to enable advanced functionality. Short Term: We are looking for a proven expert in Google Sheets (and Google Apps scripting) that can help us create a custom reporting tool that compares two simple datasets. Ideally, an end user imports data into two different tabs of a Google Sheet, and you write a script that compares all of the data/rows between the two (using a key value) and presents the results on another tab. It would also show where the data from one row may conflict or differ from that of another based on the values from one column. This should be a very simple and straightforward project for someone with advanced skills with Google Sheets and Google Apps scripting. Long Term: After at least one successful collaboration on a small project (like the above), we are looking for someone that can provide ongoing support to troubleshoot and support our existing Google Sheets, Forms, and & Google Apps script code, as well as make updates, and implement new processes. As is common with Google Forms or scripts in a production environment, sometimes things may stop working from time to time, and we need someone who can be available to troubleshoot within at most a few days' notice to help fix any issues. Requirements: We must be able to have a phone call with you to talk through project requirements as needed. We also require you to be very thorough in your comments when writing or editing any script code, and generally leave notes and use cell highlighting, when needed, to make it easy for others to understand your work. Lastly, it is important that you are able to effectively communicate in writing (via Upwork messages) or with a short ad hoc phone call, when needed, during standard working hours of west coast time in the US.
