• The candidate is expected to independently execute tasks in our projects, including the planning and development of web technology-based applications • Closely work with internal team and external customers/advisors to understand and build our optical sensing data platform that encompasses machine learning, spectroscopy, herd information record data and wireless networking • Optimize existing backend and mobile/web applications using modern development techniques to improve scalability and reliability • Apply engineering best practices throughout the development, testing, and deployment phases • Design a highly reliable and scalable IoT cloud architecture • Employ strong cloud security practices • Manage ingestion of optical data from devices installed remotely • Optimize data architecture and efficiency • Work with UI/UX designer to improve the web portal data visualizations and BI reporting • Experience with modern frontend frameworks • Experience working with relational and non-relational database • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure (CloudFormation, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, ECS) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, containerization, and orchestration • Familiarity with version control systems and DevOps tools
