This portfolio assignment has three distinct parts requiring skills in writing, interviewing and case analysis for a People Management college course. Part one requires a 750 word report to the HR manager analyzing organizational performance and making recommendations. Strong research and analytical abilities are needed to identify issues and propose evidence-based solutions.
Part two involves scripting a competency-based interview for a specified role, demonstrating aptitude for structured interviews which assess candidate's qualifications according to the job requirements. Interview questions must be tailored, open-ended and elicit concrete responses and examples.
The final component asks to carefully read an attached case study of an organization, then complete the required step two activity which involves applying an evaluative framework. Critical thinking and attention to detail is vital to comprehensively apply the appropriate framework and draw insightful conclusions.
Good time management and ability to juggle multiple assessment types within a portfolio is expected. Combined, the parts test a variety of core HR skills including written analysis, interviewing proficiency and evaluating organizational situations. Fluency in English is essential along with meeting all formatting and submission guidelines.
