Description

I seek a skilled frontend developer to construct a travel-focused website with a similar structure and layout to atlasobscura.com, yet featuring unique travel content. The site shall be a fully customizable CMS-powered publication highlighting off-the-beaten-path destinations globally.
The chosen technology stack incorporates a JAMstack architecture with Vercel and Next.js for lightning-fast performance and security. A headless CMS of Strapi on DigitalOcean will facilitate intuitive content management. A PostgreSQL database will store and retrieve content. Either Mapbox GL JS or Google Maps JavaScript API can render interactive maps of locations. Voice and text capabilities may integrate OpenAI API.
The Frontend developer shall skillfully develop components and pages replicating atlasobscura.com's clean design whilst employing a content API to dynamically populate destinations. User auth, commenting and itineraries can enhance engagement. Responsiveness across devices must suit diverse travelers. Semantic HTML, accessibility and pixel-perfection are expected. Extensive styling with TailwindCSS or equivalent is preferred. A deployed site and orderly Git repos demonstrating the work will facilitate evaluation.

Hi, I please need the programming performed for a video-based golf club tracking and analysis application. The application uniquely locates an existent rotation point along the length of a golf club, which can be near impossible to accurately locate with just the naked eye. Accurately locating the point is critical toward golfing performance, and the point location can vary significantly from golfer to golfer, even for the same golf club. Previous attempts have been partially but not completely successful, and an unknown amount of that work might potentially be usable here. A 2D video from a single, standard 2D camera is all that is foundationally required and will be utilized here. The needed video specimen is actually captured before a swing technically even begins, so the club tracking requirements are quite different from that of an actual swing. Past attempts have primarily been based on relatively simple marker tracking, largely comprising two tape pieces or dots placed at determined locations on the club to be tracked. My current perception is that if well formed, this is more than sufficient for the needed application (unless something even simpler is available). When properly configured, the tracking process itself will routinely reveal rotation point locations for players. But even with perfect tracking results, and principally due to the nature of the club movement involved, initially revealed rotation point locations will typically be erroneous, commonly by substantial amounts. Thus, a solution process involving some fairly basic geometric and mathematical principles then needs to be applied to the tracking results. And an accurate rotation point location is thereafter provided by the application. The features and elements needed for both the video tracking and solution processes in order to accomplish functional success are much more thoroughly detailed in separate documentation. I am searching for one who capably understands the details and has the skills needed to program/code the application described. Previous attempts, particularly concerning tracking, have been partially successful in various ways, though no single attempt was operationally successful all the way through. Those attempts are systematically broken down in the separate documentation, including displaying whatever code I have for reference and potential use or reuse. I need to be able to work with and test any new efforts on my (Windows) desktop. Desktop and web versions are ultimately planned, and where a mobile version can be considered a bit later. So a programming language(s) that might work most effectively under this scenario may be helpful. Since not fully successful yet, to some degree I am still seeking a relatively basic version of the needed application that can at least operate sufficiently all the way through first, being as efficient as possible to construct from time and cost standpoints. Because various elements of intellectual property are involved, an NDA will be required before I will be able to disclose and/or discuss certain elements surrounding the more detailed documentation noted for any further consideration. I can follow up with the needed NDA after reviewing any proposals I might be fortunate enough to receive for this project posting. I can consider project or hourly rate offers, but I cannot seriously consider totally open-ended hourly rates without a maximum number of billed hours stated for completing the application. And I have no set budget. But prominently due to the way previous efforts have gone (on both sides), I will spend little more on any further attempts unless and until a version of the needed application is produced that first functions successfully all the way through. It can then be reevaluated how to best proceed from there. Please feel free to send along any questions or comments. Thank you very much.
