As part of our system, our bikes are equipped with a custom connector that integrates: • ESP32 • Electronics for power & data handling • LIN communication We have ~60 connectors that require diagnostics and repairs. Based on our investigation, we have identified two main failure types: 1. Flash corruption – can be fixed by reprogramming the ESP32. 2. ESP failure – requires re-soldering the ESP32 module. However, there may be other issues that require deeper analysis and troubleshooting. Your Responsibilities • Diagnose faulty connectors to determine root causes. • Reprogram ESP32-based units where needed. • Re-solder and replace ESP32 modules for failed units. • Identify other potential issues and document findings. • Ensure repaired units are fully functional and communicate over LIN. Requirements • Strong experience with ESP32 development & troubleshooting • Hardware debugging skills (soldering, PCB repair, fault analysis) • Familiarity with LIN communication (or willingness to learn) • Access to necessary tools (e.g., hot air station, oscilloscope, programmer) • Ability to work independently and provide detailed reports Additional Information • Location: Remote (hardware can be shipped) pick up and drop off ideally LONDON. • Budget: success fe based depending on the conector fixed 25-40GPB based on expirence and other circumstances like time to completion . • Delivery: Work needs to be completed efficiently with a structured approach to diagnosis and repair. Graphical representations need to be prepared clearly depicting the direction and magnitude of treasury curve shifts in response to economic announcement surprises. The analysis will help investors and market participants better understand economic data surprises and formulate relative value trading strategies. It may also provide insights into the monetary policy transmission mechanism and market expectations regarding the same. Proficiency with Python is required to automate data pulling, perform calculations and create publication quality visuals for the final deliverable.

At Scientific Word Ltd we have been providing Tech Support since 1990 for Scientific Word and Scientific WorkPlace, software published by MacKichan Software (now out of business since 2021). The Scientific Word/WorkPlace network Floating licences use FlexLM, running on a Windows server, to manage a site's multi-user licensing. The licensing works fine with FlexLM v11.16 (screenshot attached), but with FlexLM v11.18.3 we get the error message 'mackichn: Version of vendor daemon is too old' (screenshot attached). The file mackichn.exe is dated 1/7/09. Since MacKichan Software is now closed for business there is no possibility that they will release a later version of mackichn.exe. Yet as time goes by, FlexLM v11.16 (which works for MacKichan Software’s programs) will eventually be deprecated, at which point our academic users at prestigious universities will be unwilling to continue using the older unsupported version 11.16 of FlexLM - but unable to use the newer versions. Project: 1. We need a workaround for the out of date issue ('Version of vendor daemon is too old') in order that Scientific Word/WorkPlace can continue to be licensed by later versions of FlexLM. 2. Put another way, we need to get the 2009 vendor daemon mackichn.exe to work with FlexLM v11.18 and later.
