The aim of this project is to build a sample application that will be used to teach Large Language Model (LLM) application development. The sample will be provided to students who will then edit and enhance the application in order to develop their own skills. As such, all code delivered should be clearly documented and easily understandable. The deliverable of this project will be a git repository containing a sample project. The sample project should develop of a docker application comprising a server and a web client. The server will include a simple API with a single service. The service will: 1. be called with a passage of text. 2. call two separate large language model services to extract named entities from the passage of text. 3. return the two sets of results. The web client will allow the User to: 1. select a text file from a local file system. 2. call a service in the server API. 3. display the two sets of results returned by the service in the web client. The deliverable of this task should be a git repository with detailed instructions on how to setup the project in Visual Studio Code and then build, deploy and run the application. In responding to this requirement, please detail: 1. the languages for the Web Client and the Server. 2. the LLMs that will be used to demonstrate the service. 3. any additional technology dependencies / constraints.
