This project seeks a skilled web developer to replicate an existing demonstration e-commerce site catered towards customers in China. The developer will build a new website modeled after a demo site designed for the Chinese marketplace and utilizing the Chinese language throughout the user experience. The new site should mirror the look, feel and navigation of the original demo but without functional e-commerce capabilities. The primary goal is to create an online showcase mimicking a fully-operational Chinese e-commerce business for prospective customers to browse product listings and content. Technical replication of the demo site's design, layout, featured categories and sample products will be crucial to achieving this objective. Mastery of HTML, CSS and responsive design principles is a must to faithfully reconstruct the visual design and navigation across desktop and mobile resolutions. Familiarity with common Chinese e-commerce practices and cultural norms will also prove valuable when translating content and ensuring an appropriate customer experience localized for Chinese users. Though live purchasing will not be supported, the site infrastructure and backend architecture should be developed with potential future expansion in mind.
