The Teleport IT team is looking to hire an IT Support Engineer who would be excited to join a small, fast moving, experienced team at a mature startup.  The position is 100% remote, EST time zone preferred.

This role will be the primary on-call Support Engineer during weekday mornings with an IT Systems Engineer as an escalation point for complex issues and to help you learn more advanced technical skills.  This role targets 20% off-call time for projects, learning and development goals. 

We are looking for ambitious candidates with a Security first mindset and want to grow their skills as a future Security, Systems or Infrastructure engineer. 

We utilize a Slack and Zendesk based helpdesk and are looking for candidates who are creative in solving problems with automation rather than manual ticket-driven processes.  We love Slack Bots, Git Ops and Infrastructure as code. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Resolve helpdesk issues

  • Access requests

  • Troubleshoot daily helpdesk tickets

  • MFA and password resets

  • Mac and Linux computer management

  • Triage system and security alerts

  • Laptop procurement, configuration and troubleshooting

  • Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Duo Mobile, Jamf Administration

What we will help you learn:

  • Low Code Process automation with Okta Workflows

  • Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

  • ZeroTrust IT Security best practices

  • Writing SIEM alerts using Python

  • Writing SIEM queries with SQL

$68,800 - $99,000 a year

The base salary range for new hires in this role is between $68,800 and  $86,000 for a level 2, between $79,200 and $99,000 for a level 3. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
