Job Description

Nearmap is looking for a dynamic individual to fill a 6-month contract as Events Manager on our North American Marketing Team. The Events Manager creates impact by executing events that amplify brand visibility, enhance client and employee relations, and drive business growth. You will research, schedule, negotiate, and coordinate Nearmap participation in external, partner-led, and internal events in North America. This role requires someone who is organized, passionate, innovative, and willing to push the envelope to increase awareness and engagement of Nearmap and its products. The Events Manager is someone who can think strategically and is ready to roll up their sleeves to use their creativity to manage shows that produce results and drive sales pipeline.

A typical day for you may look like this…

  • Execute industry events aligned to vertical go-to-market strategies

  • Interact internally with Marketing Managers to plan participation at industry events

  • Manage internal and external resources to execute event logistics

  • Coordinate and train staff resources to effectively participate on show floors

  • Manage and track budgets while adhering to expenditure parameters

  • Track, analyze and report on event outcomes against established objectives

  • Participate in the coordination of internal employee flybacks and sales kickoffs

Qualifications

What we are looking for

For this particular role we are seeking someone with the following experience:

  •  5+ years of experience planning, executing and reporting on events for tech and SaaS companies

  • Bachelor’s degree: marketing, communication, or related field preferred

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, planning, and project management skills

  • Collaborative problem-solving ability and a customer-service orientation

In accordance with multi-state Pay Transparency Laws, the expected base salary range for this role is $40.00 to $47.00 an hour.
