The Role:
MAVAN Group is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build a gamified, live-streaming video performance app for a well-known client. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, upbeat, and results-oriented with a positive attitude. If you are a creative problem solver who can break down large feature requests and architect practical solutions for a large user base, then we’d love to hear from you.
Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:

 
Work on an exciting new gamified, live video performance app with very high visibility and scale;
 
Design, build and operate game-play back end systems and optimizations;
 
On-call support for production systems during live events;
 
Write clear and high-performance code, tests, and documentation; and
 
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, graphic and design teams.

Are you the candidate we are looking for?

 
5+ years of back end product experience in Golang, NodeJS, Python or Ruby on Rails.
 
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
 
Relevant experience building consumer products at-scale.
 
Passion to create amazing games & experiences that users will love.

Bonus Points (yes, these are optional):

 
DevOps/SRE experience (AWS).
 
Experience working in a startup environment..
