Digital Customer Capabilities Senior Manager, Web (US Remote)


What you will do

In this vital role you will work globally, with our affiliates, and with our cross-functional partners to harmonize and optimize our web engagement to drive better outcomes with customers. You will be responsible to identify strategic opportunities and lead execution to standardize Amgens compliant approach to web operations, lead development and scaling of strategic web solutions, optimize our global governance on web, advise global Commercial and Medical functions and local affiliates on web solutions to solve their business needs, lead change management and the adoption of new web solutions and processes, and act as product owner for strategic digital assets.

The successful candidate will assess market trends and listen to our global affiliates across Commercial and Medical to shape the vision, inspire their team to oversee and lead the critical collaborations and milestones needed to get us there.

This Senior Manager position will report to the Director of Global Customer Capabilities (GCC), Digital, Web Strategy & Operations, and will collaborate closely with leadership and multiple cross functional partners across Amgen.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and extract key requirements from local markets to support development of web tools, standards, and initiatives

  • Define and deliver governance and processes to continually improve and maintain sustainable web solutions, standards, and platforms

  • Provide thought leadership for web channel and best practices for use of the channel to optimize customer engagement and drive business impact

  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency, awareness, and execution regarding the criticality that compliance, legal, regulatory, and privacy functions play in the web space

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external partners to understand their needs and provide them with required commercial and medical inputs

  • Partner with digital technology team to help maintain the health & maintenance of the web channel

  • Support the standardization and templatization of assets in various channels to reduce spend and resource burden

  • Efficiently prioritize requests based on functions priorities and budget

  • Promote an environment of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DI&B)

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of commercial or medical operations, information sciences, and/or project management experience

OrᅠMasters degree and 4 years of commercial or medical operations, information sciences, and/or project management experience

OrᅠBachelors degree and 6 years of commercial or medical operations, information sciences, and/or project management experience

OrᅠAssociate's degree and 10 years of commercial or medical operations, information sciences, and/or project management experience

OrᅠHigh School Diploma / GED and 12 years of commercial or medical operations, information sciences, and/or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

This position requires an experienced candidate with a blend of life science and technology background, superior cross-functional collaboration skills, commercial acumen, the ability to operate globally and locally, and very strong influencing skills.

  • 3+ years of experience working in commercial or medical roles

  • Prior experience collaborating with cross functional teams, leading with influence, and leading change

  • Deep web technical knowledge and experience in leading web solutions development

  • Understanding and experience working in Agile methodology model

  • Ability to create proposals that are backed by data for leadership to make informed decisions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to successfully manage a budget

The annual salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $140,752 - $171,525.
