Job Purpose:

As Paid Social Team Lead, you will play a vital role in comprehending client strategies, overseeing the execution of campaigns, and leading a high caliber team of paid social buyers. You will be responsible for aligning paid social media efforts with other digital tactics and incorporating performance results into an overall story. Your key responsibilities will include developing and optimizing paid social media strategies for Cendyn's clients, managing and empowering a team of paid social media buyers to achieve outstanding results, and driving excellence in paid social media execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a global team of senior and specialist paid social media buyers, including hiring, onboarding, training, and providing mentorship to ensure accountability across the team and scalable growth

  • Ensure operational success within the paid social team and across departments, setting best practices and improving and standardizing operations

  • Lead in the development of sophisticated paid social media tactics that accurately address client objectives and will enable us to achieve their goals and KPIs

  • Activate social campaigns at each stage of the buying cycle – awareness, consideration, purchase, loyalty

  • Analyze campaign performance and identify strategic optimization opportunities to meet and exceed client expectations and KPIs

  • Act as the senior point of contact and escalation point for day-to-day team needs and inter-department relationships

  • Manage staff performance including establishing development goals and priorities, setting business objectives, and providing ongoing team performance feedback

  • Provide training and development opportunities, serve as a mentor for direct and indirect reports, and frequently appraise and document performance to ensure team members are clear about target metrics and supported in their achievements

  • Deliver value through paid social strategies and tactics by identifying KPIs and tangible ROI to the business, developing data-driven strategies, and conducting ad-hoc reporting to provide insightful recommendations for marketing leaders

  • Track pacing for all active campaigns to ensure KPIs are met while fully utilizing budgets

  • Utilize tagging and tracking to create advanced audience segments from website or social actions

  • Maintain a data-driven approach through continual experimentation and optimization, finding new and alternative ways to leverage paid social media to accelerate business growth

  • Own key vendor and partner relationships to maintain clear lines of communication and access to new in-platform opportunities

  • Provide thought leadership to enable Cendyn to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to new paid social technologies, tools, and platforms

Job Requirements

  • BA or BS from accredited college or university

  • 7+ years in paid social media planning and buying, preferably within an agency environment

  • 2+ years managing multiple team members and successfully motivating and leading a team

  • Experience working remotely and willingness to balance working hours across multiple time zones

  • Extensive experience launching, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns in major social platforms such as Facebook/Instagram (Meta), LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc., including managing a high volume of brand and performance-based campaigns

  • Proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager: strong knowledge of all steps required to run a campaign from start to finish, including integrating an existing Ad Account or creating a new one, getting access to Facebook and Instagram pages, setting up billing, implementing pixels, building campaigns, audiences, ad sets, and ad creatives, and pulling reporting metrics

  • Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media marketing trends and best practices, and demonstrate a self-motivated approach to consistently monitor the paid media landscape for industry developments, new tactics, and thought leadership

  • Involvement in developing data strategy and leveraging 1st- and 3rd-party data segments

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presenting skills

  • Ability to think on your feet and work independently on deadline-driven tasks

  • Facebook Blueprint Certification preferred

  • Solid knowledge of MS Excel and general knowledge of other Microsoft applications, Google Workspace products, and other common applications
