Working within a matrix management structure that promotes analyst growth, the Operational Analytics team drives progress on some of Liberty Mutual’s most important strategic initiatives, while supporting day-to-day operations. Liberty Mutual's in-house Media team is actively searching for a highly motivated and experienced Media professional to join our Brand Media Buying & Analytics team with a focus on Direct Mail and Email. As an analyst on the Direct Mail & Email Acquisition Analytics team you will play a key role in the strategy and execution of these acquisition tactics. You will leverage data and analytics to determine profitability and provide actionable insights to our stakeholders regarding campaign performance, operational/creative testing and budget management. You will also lead collaborative efforts between Marketing, Modeling and key stakeholders and with opportunities to present findings to various levels of Senior Management.



In Addition To The Responsibilities Below, You Will

  • Lead analysis of Direct Mail & Email acquisition marketing initiatives for Liberty Mutual Branded external campaigns.
  • Continually monitor, track, and refresh analyses to measure success of key initiatives
  • Seek out new and creative opportunities to grow and optimize overall marketing spend with focus on Direct Mail and Email marketing
  • Ownership over spend and budget decision for Direct Mail & Email campaigns, tracking spend and proposing initiatives to achieve greater savings and customer acquisition efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with manager and stakeholders to create and execute long-term marketing strategy, focusing on maximizing profitability and binds
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing & Modeling to drive new value into direct mail programs while developing buy-in across internal & external partnerships
  • Manage working relationship with external vendors for all analytical & data needs.
  • Work as a mentor for new hires and other team members
  • When applicable, manage rotational analysts from the Analyst Development Program to ensure projects are impactful for both the team and analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Leads day to day optimization within an individual tactic, reaching specific media and LMI performance metrics. Leverages relationships with media partners to test and evaluate new optimization techniques, offerings, etc. Manages partner relationships of smaller to medium size/complexity.
  • May assist with identifying strategic opportunities and vetting new partnerships (e.g., external media/technology vendors).
  • Applies understanding of the impact to LMI campaigns when competitors increase or decrease media investment.
  • Primary owner of low to medium complexity projects.
  • Plans, develops, and implements media campaigns and programs that are aligned with the business unit and corporate Media objectives.
  • Conducts moderate to high complexity analyses to quantify the competitive performance of the business and generate recommendations.
  • Manages daily workflow with partners and surfaces opportunity areas with limited guidance from manager/partners.
  • Identifies trends and insights, and conducts ad hoc analyses of metrics.
  • May provide guidance to more junior staff.
  • Solid planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, and communication skills
  • Displays highly effective relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant marketing tools and data sources
  • Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience
