In this position, you’ll play an integral role on the Growth Marketing Team, using your communication and project management skills to help develop our top and middle of funnel content strategy.

As a stellar content marketer, you know how important storytelling is to creating compelling content that engages audiences. In this role, you’ll help produce high impact digital content that engages prospects and customers and drives business results through increased conversion rates, leads, asset downloads, etc. Here, digital content is defined as multimedia articles, blog posts, guides, infographics, and webinars that aid in fostering engagement online.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and research subjects for content that will target audiences and drive awareness for Checkr

  • Influence and maintain the editorial calendar to ensure projects are completed on time

  • Manage a team of freelance writers, assigning and editing work and ensuring content is well-researched, maintains brand style and voice, and all deadlines are met according to publication schedules

  • Write, edit and publish content, including articles, blogs, guides, presentation content for webinars, and web copy 

  • Leverage SEO recommendations to develop content ideas and optimize content

  • Partner with analytics and marketing operations to analyze website traffic and customer engagement metrics

  • Refresh existing content to keep it up-to-date and on brand

What you bring:

  • 4-5 years experience in a similar role, showing increasing levels of responsibility and complexity of assignments

  • Knowledge of content marketing strategy and how different types of content are used to engage and nurture leads along the funnel

  • A desire to ask questions and look for new and compelling story angles and topic ideas

  • Excellent written skills; comfortable writing and editing both long and short-form copy

  • Good time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in parallel

  • Demonstrate good organization and communication skills, teamwork, resourcefulness, accountability and outstanding attention to detail

  • Knowledge of keyword placement and SEO best practices

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Familiarity working with content management systems

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $150,000
