Mid-Level UX Designer

DroneUp is seeking a mid-level UX designer to play a key role on our User Experience team. Ideal candidates will be responsible for conducting user research, creating wireframes/prototypes, usability testing and ultimately aligning user behavior with the current business needs that will drive outcomes. You'll be working alongside other designers and developers leading the conversation around user experience for our suite of products.


Responsibilities

 
Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather user requirements
 
Conduct user research, customer and competitor analysis
 
Develop user personas, empathy maps, user journeys and other research artifacts
 
Explore various design approaches to solve specific user problems
 
Deliver validated design ideas as high-level prototypes
 
Ensure products are tested with users and validated against business goals
 
Aid in the maintenance and delivery of a consistent design language and patterns across multiple products
 
Other duties as assigned

 Requirements: 

 
Bachelor's degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or a related field (preferred)
 
4 to 6 years of experience in an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment
 
Working knowledge of a UX process end-to-end
 
Proven design thinking skills
 
Experience with user testing and usability analysis
 
Strong interface and interaction design skills
 
Design platforms like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
 
Up-to-date knowledge of the Adobe CC Suite
 
Experience working with versioning and repos (preferred)
 
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
