About the Job

Actively write code. Elegant, maintainable, reusable, scalable code with excellent test coverage.
Use our tools: React, Java, J2EE, MySQL, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy & Grails.
Assist in the building of new features, maintain existing ones, and support/extend our API.
Help deploy software, sacrificing technical elegance at the altar of customer success as necessary.
Work in a small team agile development process, regularly shipping and iterating code.
Core Skills and Key Competencies
Current university student or recent graduate of a BS/MS/Ph.D. university program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in software development using an object-oriented language, i.e. Java.
Previous experience working with databases and SQL.
Ability to build data processing software products - preferably in a Java / J2EE environment.
You are always looking for new and better ways to do things, and love testing & deployment, and TDD.
You prefer action to talking. You are a doer, not a pontificator. You love building stuff and it shows.
Nice to Have
Have a basic understanding of application containers, i.e. Docker.
Demonstrated interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed.
Curiosity to learn more about the financial system between B2B companies and dive into the accounts payable and accounts receivable financing space.
Internship Details
Start Date: Around the end of May or the beginning of June
Length of Internship: 3 months
Application Deadline: May 5, 2023
Monday - Friday: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $25 per hour (set rate)
Location: Remote, Preferably West Coast (PST)
Interview Process
30-minute - Phone Screen with Recruiter
30-minute - Hiring Manager Interview
1-hour - Technical Assessment (30 minutes of live coding and 30 minutes for technical discussions/questions)
