Very Good Security ( VGS ) is the leading developer-friendly platform to collect, store, and exchange sensitive and confidential data. We are on a mission to protect the world's payment information - including personally identifiable information, payment credentials, secret management and much more. We are seeking global talent to support our VGS product portfolio including the VGS Zero Data platform, VGS Compliance, and VGS Payment Optimization.

VGS processes billions of sensitive data records, and its data under management has grown more than 10x year-over-year. Companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to innovators like Brex, Deserve, Doordash, Fast, and Mercury increasingly leverage the VGS platform to facilitate the secure exchange of their sensitive data while retaining ownership and control over sensitive data and transferring data custodianship to VGS. The Zero Data approach eliminates the need for companies to store sensitive data within their systems, streamlining regulatory compliance and certifications, including PCI-DSS and SOC 2. For example, banking-as-a-service Unit Finance uses VGS to expedite connectivity to payments networks while offloading PCI-DSS complexity.

As a Senior Account Executive at VGS, reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will be joining the ground floor operation of a growth startup in the Fintech 2.0 data security space. You will leverage your exceptional business acumen to evangelize the VGS value proposition and land new business with our target prospects. You will drive and be accountable for the full sales cycle within your assigned region and named accounts. You will engage in business-level conversations with the prospect's C-suite and act as the VGS quarterback to broker and drive high-value discussions at various levels within the prospect's organization. You will leverage your past experience in selling technical solutions to startups, small and mid-sized businesses and be adept at learning and positioning technical products to prospects. Most importantly, you are someone who thrives in an early-stage tech startup environment and seeking to accelerate their career growth.

In this role you will:

  • Evangelize the unique and differentiated VGS value proposition of zero data .
  • Engage in effective two-sided discovery through great questioning and attentive listening.
  • Land new business by methodically finding, qualifying, and closing leads.
  • Work alongside smart, motivated and growth-mindset peers.
  • Receive mentorship and coaching from an experienced management team.
  • Develop and implement best practices for growing VGSs customer base.
  • Work with a modern sales tech stack (Salesforce, LinkedIn, Outreach, Gong, Zoom, etc).
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from any US time zone.

We expect you to have:

  • BS/BA and a MINIMUM of 5+ years experience in a quota carrying sales role.
  • Strong track record of quota attainment/over-attainment with 3-4x pipeline generation.
  • Experience driving both inbound and outbound prospecting, selling SaaS products.
  • Strong bias towards action and taking ownership.
  • Adept at selling technical products to technical audiences.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain client and executive-level relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can-do, positive attitude in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Prior sales experience in Fintech and/or Data Security (a plus).
