The long version of our story: Back when web 2.0 was a thing (get off my lawn!) LeadSimple’s founders started a lead generation business connecting landlords with property management companies. Witnessing the challenges lead buyers had closing deals led into a natural segue to build out an industry-specific CRM which became the de-facto industry standard. Fast forward to 2020 when we released a process/workflow suite to move from the sales side of our clients business into the heart of day-to-day operations. The mission of the Sales Manager is to drive sustainable revenue growth & grow revenue from inbound & outbound sales efforts.
Expectations for your first 90 days:
- 30-Day Outcomes:
- Understand ICP, industry context & value proposition.
- Improve sales team productivity by 17%.
- Roll out Pipeline Forecast for 30 & 60-day insights.
- Shadow 15+ discovery calls, initiate 50+ outbound calls/emails weekly.
- Complete product training.
- 60-Day Outcomes:
- Lead AE team, meet upsell & MRR goals.
- Enhance Customer Experience with Probe, Solve, Commit Sales model.
- Action: Monitor, coach, drive best practices.
- Foster continuous improvement.
- Beat MRR goals by 5%, generate 3 discovery calls.
- Deliver 3 customer feedback entries.
- Implement coaching & process improvement plan.
- 90-Day Outcomes:
- AEs hitting quotas, 35% conversion rates.
- On track for 95%+ budget forecast.
- Establish 3 strategic partnerships.
- Enhance growth plans for AEs.
- Capable Sales Manager ensuring "WOW" customer experience.
A day in the life of…
- Strategy Development: Define company sales strategy, set goals, adjust compensation plans, and report business health.
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate, qualify, and follow up on leads for sales appointments, catering to customer needs.
- Develops and Maintains Customer Relationships: Foster client relationships, explore new trust-building avenues for future sales.
- Hits Sales Quotas: Collaborate on setting sales quotas, maintain measurements on quota attainment, pipeline, win/loss ratio, etc.
- Implement Sales Processes: Take ownership of sales process from lead outreach to closing, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Maintain Pipeline, Data, and Analytics: Keep accurate records of progress, next steps, probabilities, and communications.
- Aggressively Close Sales: Promote win-win solutions for LeadSimple and customers.
- Represents Company Publicly: Act as company representative at tradeshows and meetings, proficient in public speaking.
- Effectively Demonstrates LeadSimple Products: Discover customer needs, facilitate sign-ups and proposals.
- Collaborates with Marketing: Coordinate with marketing, participate in events, demo products, and engage with clients.
- Attend and Participate in Meetings: Attend weekly one-on-ones, department level 10 meetings, and all-hands meetings, contribute to issue resolution.
- Lead and Participate in Meetings: Host team one-on-ones, participate in department meetings, and present at all-hands meetings as needed.
