The Podcast Mission is a group passionate about the future of podcasting, laser focused on re-positioning Spotify from being a traditional 1-way broadcaster, to become a true interactive marketplace with 50 million creators and a billion users. We succeed when creators succeed, and we want to empower anyone to build their own podcast. 

We recently launched a platform that supports more podcasters than ever; Spotify for Podcasters. This platform allows creators to build, distribute, monetize, grow a podcast, all for free. You can also easily understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify with this tool. We’ve done a lot already, and we have no plans of slowing down. Come help us build the future of podcasting!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic product designer to join our Podcast Mission that is responsible for crafting mobile & web app experiences for Spotify. This team is at the heart of innovation at Spotify, developing new features and experiences for our listeners. You will be working alongside a dedicated design team and collaborating with cross-functional squads to reimagine the creation experiences for millions of creators around the globe.

What you'll do

  • You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to design, test and launch products that will help our creators understand and connect with their listeners

  • You’ll partner with a senior product designer to work on mission-wide initiatives 

  • You’ll lead projects to help creators publish content & maintain their podcast 

  • You’ll rapidly produce multiple concepts and high-fidelity prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach

  • Work across creator facing surfaces and more technical spaces, bringing the needs of our creators with you as you explore

  • Help shape the culture of our design team that’s central to the Podcast strategy at Spotify

Who you are

  • You have an ability to execute quickly as well as the passion and persistence to produce quality designs

  • You have the communication skills to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts

  • You have a growth mindset and aren’t afraid to lean on others to learn

  • You are a very strong collaborator, sharing your work early and oftenYou have a sense of humor & no ego

  • You put effort into fostering culture in a distributed working environment

  • You have strong opinions, loosely held

  • Working hours? We operate within the EST time zone for collaboration 

$91,577 - $130,824 a year

The United States base range for this position is $91,577- $130,824, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
