As the Senior Director, Business Development, you will drive new business for the organization through the development and management of a pipeline of strategic enterprise accounts. You will also lead a team of sales executives to develop new pipeline and achieve revenue and volume growth goals. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Perform as a sales leader for the organization, representing upper management and communicating direction in motivational ways
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales executives to drive new pipeline for the organization
  • Encourage success in sales initiatives and share best practices
  • Partner with the solutions organization to deliver competitive, best-in-class proposals to solve customer needs
  • Develop and maintain strategic multilevel customer relationships to uncover specific needs and behaviors of key decision makers
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding e-commerce and retail fulfillment and help customers determine optimal fulfillment strategies

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years sales experience in the logistics & transportation industry
  • Experience leading sales teams in the execution of profitable growth
  • Experience with Microsfot Office (Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Solid ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
