Circle is a 100% remote company! We now have a team of about 100 (and growing) based in different countries all around the world.
About the role
We are looking to grow our design team with an outstanding Lead Product Designer. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, they will help to raise the bar for creativity, and design world-class brand experiences that are engaging, thoughtful and reflect Circle's values as a human-centered technology company.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and autonomous environment. One that rewards creativity, and highly values minimalist, high-impact design. Our goal is to create brand experiences that make people want to be part of our community —a thriving creator ecosystem that supports and enables creators to make a living by building meaningful connections with their members.
While this is a 100% remote position, we have a preference for candidates in American and European time zones.

What you'll be doing...

 
Take the lead on design - we want someone with ideas, that is ready to bring them to the table. Confident enough to drive the team forward with the support of the Head of Design.
 
Lead and mentor other members of the design team.
 
Work closely with Circle's co-founders, team leads and other contributors throughout the design process.
 
Translate company objectives into outstanding design. This can be ambiguous at times, so having initiative, and not losing momentum will be the best tools in your belt.
 
Ensure visual communication and brand standards are at a world-class level and consistently improving.
 
Leverage and contribute to our design system to maintain consistency and increase speed to market.
 
Be focused on pushing the boundaries of what has been achieved in the creator space.
 
Collaborate with a team that solves high-level priority problems for Circle.


You're perfect for the role if...

 
You have expertise with modern design and prototyping tools; ie. Figma.
 
you have 3+ years experience working in a lead designer capacity. You’ve been doing this for awhile, and you’re well versed in a wide range of design projects.
 
You have a strong, up-to-date portfolio of work demonstrating exceptional design skills. Include your online portfolio link or PDF in your application, including any required passwords.
 
You have knowledge of design trends and trends across the creator space.
 
You thrive in a highly collaborative, fluid, fast-paced creator environment.
 
You have strong communication skills. You can communicate concepts and designs, and explain your thought process to justify your ideas.
 
You have the ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines.
 
You have a strong sense of accountability. Ability to take ownership and lead product design.
 
You desire to work in an environment which values speed of iteration and individual autonomy.
