Role Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence Analytics position involves partnering with senior leadership and creating SQL queries, diving into, analyzing, and summarizing the data to track progress on key company initiatives and ad-hoc requests. This position will develop and deliver common datasets for cross functional analysis and reporting needs by using internal reporting and data tools, collaborating with team members, and evaluating data sets needed for reporting. Furthermore, we will look to this role to recommend solutions to guide future organizational decisions, initiatives, and alignment with business objectives. You will be part of our Strategy & Business Operations team but partner with leaders across all revenue generating aspects of the organization and Marketing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, create and own cross-functional SQL queries for providing insightful and actionable metrics for marketing and business operations leadership to use in managing the business
  • Analyze large, undefined datasets and streamline them for replication and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational results
  • Participate in data integrity monitoring for company wide data sources
  • Ability to bring together multiple data sources (e.g. server and web data) into reporting platforms
  • Ability to work across multiple functions (e.g. leadership, functional areas, data engineers) to define business problems and translate into data requirements  


Experience & Preferred Skills:

  • Five (5) years of experience working as an analyst (business, data, etc.), preferably in the insurance or eCommerce industry
  • Experience working within a fast-growth enterprise SaaS technology company or insurance agency, a plus
  • Bachelors in statistics, math, economics, finance, accountancy, or other related. MBA is a plus
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills and proficiency with BI tools (Power BI) experience with data blending tools (Alteryx) a plus
  • Ability to interpret varying types of datasets and translate to digestible and actionable end products for senior leaders
  • Experience working directly with varying functions and levels (from the analyst to executive level) to define the problem, analyze, and propose solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage your own time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States


Work Location:

This position has both hybrid and remote work options


Salary:

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 t0 $85,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
