We are looking for Mobile Engineering (Android/iOS) Interns to join our team of hardworking engineers this summer. In this role, you will assist in building an application that millions of people interact with every day to discover and listen to music. You will help implement new features, improve performance, and build beautiful user interfaces. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences audio.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with an autonomous team of developers, designers, and product owners to define, architect and deliver new features

  • Implement solutions within our Android or iOS client codebases, adhering to Android/iOS development best practices

  • Write clear, maintainable code that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams

  • Join dozens of other developers and help to shape the direction of Mobile development at Spotify

Who you are

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or a bootcamp certification in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field of study, and have a graduation year of 2024

  • You currently have valid work authorization to work in the country/region where this role is based that will extend from June to August 2023

  • You have great communication skills and initiative to connect all of the dots and work with your peers

  • Have an understanding of modern Android and/or iOS development and dabbled in Android development tools or have experience with a few iOS frameworks

  • Know how to write readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented Java and/or Kotlin (Android), or Objective-C and Swift (iOS)

  • Have some experience in driving technical projects from beginning to end

  • Have built at least one app or have a project in the works that you can tell us about

Where you'll be

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!

  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location.

  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European time zone for collaboration. 

Our paid summer internships last for 10-13 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is March 1st, 2023 at 12 PM CET.
