Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to develop and execute the Tech Infra automation strategy, advancing automation using the latest technologies and industry best practices. The Automation Engineer will work closely with functional leadership to set strategic direction for automation solutions and build reusable automation frameworks. The Automation Engineer will be a key player to normalize CBB's infrastructure and improve customer experience.

This is a remote position where the employee can reside anywhere in the continental US.

The overall objectives of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build reusable automation frameworks, scripts, libraries, services, and tools
  • Improve enterprise automation leveraging CI/CD processes, automated testing, unit testing, code coverage, and infrastructure as code development best practices
  • Improve user experience by automating repetitive tasks, simplify service catalogues, auto-provisioning, and incident reduction
  • Perform routine environment assessment exercises and drive continued enhancement/modernization of landing zones and operating environments
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions
  • Function as a resource for projects, including new software solution introduction, operating system/operating environment modernization, and other technology advancement initiatives
  • Resolve issues by troubleshooting and collaborating with engineering teams and SMEs
  • Ensure procedures and playbooks are established and documented, aligning with best practices

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience (relevant certifications are a plus)
  • 15+ years of relevant experience within the technology space
  • 10+ years of experience planning, designing, and driving architecture
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in using automation to drive change. Seasoned experience with automation acumen and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in creating scripts and automation, such as TerraForm (required), Perl, Python, ARM, Ruby, or similar cloud orchestration
  • REQUIRED: Automation methodologies such as Terraform Orchestration, YAML Scripting, ARM Templates, PowerShell Modules, Microsoft Power Automate, Scripting and Toolmaking are required.
  • Experience working in Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, and Git to accomplish end-to-end builds and deployments
  • REQUIRED: Extensive understanding of Infrastructure as Code, application design, software development, and testing
  • Implementation of cloud technologies in Azure and an understanding of SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS models
  • Demonstrated ability to develop automation solutions to deliver business value in a practical, effective way.
  • Organizational change agent with ability to see beyond current situation and to create a strategy, vision, and roadmap to advance automation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding in the implementation of automation technology and integration within factory operations and employees.
  • Motivated self-starter demonstrating initiative to build new processes and improve existing processes to leverage automation
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security best practices
  • Proven understanding of Project Management
  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT Operations and Support Models

(Colorado, Nevada, New York City Residents Only) Salary of 120K to 130K Annually + Benefits + Bonus

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20), sb293 (BDR 53-907), and NYCHRL salary (or hourly wage) compensation for this role when being hired into our Colorado or Nevada office or as a remote or virtual Colorado, Nevada, or New York City based employee.
