Job Summary and Responsibilities

Senior Product Managers lead the delivery of new digital services. They collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to define goals, meet user needs, and work in iterative and user-centered ways. By thinking in terms of outcomes, rather than output, they help set and manage priorities given their team's mission and vision, work with clients to define and measure success, and continually evolve solutions based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.

Senior Product Managers are experienced technologists that bring deep experience delivering effective products within an agile and cross-functional environment. They are fluent in agile and human-centered methodologies and play the role of product strategist, coach, and evangelist for more product-driven ways of working within government.

Senior Product Manager 2 (M) is a people leader within Product. They will build, lead, and develop other members from the product practice. Senior Product Manager 2 (M) will ensure assigned product team members adopt and apply the best practices, principles, and values that are important to the health and quality of the Product practice and to our customers.

The Senior Product Manager 2 is responsible for (Essential Functions):

Leads the full cycle development and deployment of user-centric products in an agile environment.

Defines and measures KPIs to evaluate the impact of what is delivered.

Manages agile ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning, and team retrospectives to support the iterative design and delivery of new products.

Designs and leads workshops to guide product decision-making including project kick-offs, discovery sprints, road mapping exercises, and prioritization efforts.

Serves as a trusted advisor for clients and sets direction for their team.

Demonstrates superior product judgement; understands when to pivot and how to experiment in order to reduce uncertainty and inform next steps.

Requirements

At least 5 years experience serving as a Product Manager of a cross-functional team, ideally within an agile environment.

All work must be conducted within the U.S.

As government contractor, all hires may be required to meet additional pre-employment contingencies to the extent required by applicable law, at the time of hire or any time thereafter

What Youll Do

Draw on best practices in product management, agile software development, and human centered design to deliver new digital services that meet the public's expectations of a 21st century government.

Support a cross-functional team by developing shared processes and documentation that enables product, research, and engineering to work towards shared outcomes from ideation through delivery.

Work with clients to set goals, define related outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage priorities against a product roadmap.

What Youll Bring

At least 5 years experience serving as a Product Manager of a cross-functional team, ideally within an agile environment.

Experience shipping consumer-facing features or products.

Skilled at breaking down problems, building consensus, and setting direction in the face of uncertainty.

Proven ability translating qualitative and quantitative feedback into product requirements and actionable insights.

Experienced at managing priorities and tradeoffs to deliver the highest value solutions for clients and end users.

Superior product judgement - understands when to pivot and how to experiment in order to reduce uncertainty and inform next steps.

Strong written and verbal communicator; can build trust with partners and influence decision-making towards the highest value outcomes.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $101,570 - 136,994 and information on benefits offered is here.
