WHO ARE WE?

Launch Potato is a digital media company with a portfolio of brands and technologies. As The Discovery and Conversion Company, Launch Potato’s mission is to be the most innovative, tech-enabled media company connecting consumers to the world’s leading brands.

The company is headquartered in vibrant downtown Delray Beach, Florida, with a unique international team across more than a dozen countries. Launch Potato’s success comes from a diverse, energetic culture and high-performing, entrepreneurial team.

YOUR ROLE

We need someone like you to help build and scale Launch Potato’s engineering team. In this role, you will own the Engineering function, a team of 15 engineers growing quickly. Your engineering team will be responsible for all of LP’s brands and platforms. In addition, you will work closely with your team and business stakeholders to define and implement a healthy and progressive product and technology strategy that improves our reach and impact on the business.

You will also drive impact through engineers who report to you by promoting sound engineering practices, driving work on technical strategy and roadmaps, regularly assessing the technical state of teams, advocating for standard methodologies broadly, and providing focused mentoring to teams.

You will make sure that our solutions are scalable, balanced, and architecturally sound, ensuring that technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time. You will make decisions balancing providing value to the business and incurring technical debt vs. investing the effort early on to build a robust and scalable product.

You will work cross-functionally with passionate, brilliant individuals with tons of learning, growth, and mentorship opportunities. We are an extremely fun and tight-knit team (our company retreats are fabulous), so we are very selective about who we hire to ensure our company values remain high.
