Job Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Director to oversee promotion and advertising efforts to drive new customer acquisitions and increase customer retention while building brand awareness using a well thought out omnichannel strategy.
Responsibilities include developing an overall marketing strategy and plan, approving campaigns and measuring the return on investment of various advertising methods while hiring and onboarding new team members.

Maharishi Foundation International (MFI) is a US-registered non-profit that supports the development of new technologies and outreach opportunities for the worldwide Transcendental Meditation® (TM®) organisations. Over the past 60 years, more than 10 million people worldwide have learned the TM technique through personal instruction by tens of thousands of certified teachers.

About You
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial-spirited, highly detail-oriented, have exceptional problem solving skills along with prior search engine marketing experience, preferably at an agency, but who is looking to move in-house.

Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and execute quarterly and yearly media planning to achieve company goals
- Set up KPI targets and regularly track progress to ensure they are met
- Budget forecasting per channel to ensure effective allocation of resources and achieve maximum ROI
- Tactical Marketing Operations:
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize marketing campaigns and improve performance
- Perform incrementality testing on upper funnel platforms to identify areas of growth
- Set experiments with different landing pages to constantly improve conversion rates
- Hiring and Training:
- Review CVs and conduct interviews to identify top candidates for open positions
- Hire and onboard new team members to ensure they are set up for success
- Develop and implement training materials to ensure new hires are fully prepared for their roles
Skills and Requirements
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing client strategies, managing client relationships, and proactively troubleshooting account performance issues whether paid or organic
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing and media planning, with a solid understanding of industry best practices and trends
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-million dollar media budgets and achieving significant ROI
- Strong proficiency in paid media platforms such as Google, Bing, and other search platforms like LinkedIn, Quora.
- Solid understanding of upper funnel marketing tactics, specifically on social media platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing remote, multicultural teams from the ground up
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Slack, etc.
- Track record of achieving client KPI's and driving business growth
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Business Apps, specifically Google Sheets
- Familiarity with the GMP suite (Google Merchant Center, Data Studio, etc.) and keyword research & competitor analysis tools (SEMRush, SpyFu, etc.)\
- Preference for management experience within an agency setting or marketing department
- Strong preference for previous experience working with the US market
- Prior experience working in a global non-profit, remotely or in a multinational organization is a plus
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required

Pay and Benefits
Our pay levels are set according to a formula that combines above-median market rate data for the role (we pay 55th percentile of New York market rate for this role, based on Payscale data) adjusted for your local cost of living based on Numbeo data.
We take the issue of equitable pay very seriously, and we apply our pay formula to all workers who work 80% or more of full time hours with us.
