We're hiring a Community Coordinator (Marketing Coordinator) to join our Community team! What is a Community team, you ask? Traditionally, companies would call this a Marketing team, but we feel that Community is a more appropriate title in how we approach our work. Our team is extremely passionate about setting creators up for success by really digging into challenges creators are having, learning from the experiences of successful crowdfunding creators before them, and spreading that knowledge to more creators.
While our office is in San Francisco, this position is remote friendly to anyone in the US.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our small, but mighty Community team. The ideal candidate is excited by having the opportunity to make an imprint on our team by improving on our current efforts, and at the same time scouting out and carving out new opportunities.
The founders are a developer/designer duo who met while working on Diaspora, the first highly successful crowdfunded open source software project. Our commitment to helping creative people be creative starts with them and drives us every day.

The base salary for this role is targeted at $60,000 - $70,000/year in Denver and most remote locations, and $70,000 - $80,000/year for San Francisco and New York. Final offer amounts are determined by various factors including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
BackerKit is a remote-first workplace (United States only), and we welcome applications from any eligible US-based individuals regardless of location. In the future, we may require annual or semi-annual travel to the SF Bay Area for company events.
