Looking for an opportunity to help shape and grow a company within an exciting and rapid growth industry? This role will be primarily responsible for drafting, editing, and maintaining existing articles about sports betting, sportsbooks, online casinos, and province-specific resources pages. Reporting to the Country Director of Canada, you will help build and scale the #1 sports betting resource in Canada. You will...

 
Based on short briefs, write 2,000 to 5,000 word “evergreen” content pages (examples include “Ontario Online Sports Betting” or “BetMGM Online Sportsbook”)
 
Research online gaming products, which will include sportsbook and online casino apps, in order to review platforms
 
Draft, edit, and update/maintain resource pages
 
Communicate with colleagues throughout the workday using Slack, email, and video/phone calls
 
Use project management tools such as AirTable to manage or assign tasks, update databases, and track progress with colleagues
 
Write and edit meta titles and descriptions for evergreen content pages
 
Using WordPress plugins, create, edit and manage on-page elements such as tables, images/graphics, ads and other dynamic content
 
Make edits to existing HTML when necessary
 
Assist in managing freelance resources when necessary
 
Contribute to the overall strategy and planning of content
 
Reference favourite ice cream flavour in any cover letter or initial outreach for this position


You have...

 
Strong internet research skills
 
Basic understanding of the North American sports landscape, particularly NFL, NBA, college basketball and football, MLB, and NHL
 
Strong knowledge of Canadian sports market
 
Basic understanding of sports betting (point spread, moneyline, totals, player props, etc). Strong knowledge is an asset
 
In-depth knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
 
Strong writing and editing skills (please provide links or samples)
 
Basic understanding of HTML


Even better if you have...

 
Strong knowledge of the North American sports landscape, particularly NFL, NBA, college basketball and football, MLB, and NHL
 
Expert-level knowledge and understanding of sports betting (point spread, moneyline, totals, player props, etc)
 
Experience uploading, editing, and writing content within WordPress or similar content management system
 
Ability to work with and edit HTML
 
Experience using SEO tools (SurferSEO, Moz, ahrefs, etc)
