This Account Executive team is responsible for helping BetterUp acquire new logos within the largest employer base in the world: Small Businesses.  In this role, the account executive will be responsible for identifying qualified opportunities, consulting with VP+ level leaders, and managing the full sales cycle for new logo acquisition.  As a new segment within BetterUp, you will be responsible for experimenting with new strategies and helping us create a delightful customer experience that creates lifelong customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Leverage sales tools and marketing leads to identify ideal prospects for BetterUp’s solutions within the 100-999 employee segment.

  • Lead senior executives into purchasing and deploying BetterUp through a consultative sales approach.

  • Execute a consultative sales process including: Demo, Content Creation, Proposal Creation, and Closing the contract across a 3-month sales cycle

  • Manage multiple opportunities through the entire cycle simultaneously, work with cross-functional teams as necessary, and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.

  • Work within an experimental structure of testing and iterating to improve our sales motion.

  • Cross-collaborate with peers on the account management team to create long-term BetterUp customers.

  • Prospect and build a pipeline to improve ramp speed and shorten the sales cycle.

  • Execute a minimum of 15 first meetings per month, either from Marketing or Self-Generated.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 3-7yrs experience with full-sales-cycle management in customer acquisition 

  • Track record of over-achieving (top 10-20% of company)

  • Knowledge of sales methodology like Challenger and MEDDPIC

  • Experience building trusted relationships with senior executives in a high-velocity sales cycle with small and mid-sized companies

  • An unrelenting drive to learn, succeed, and lead by example

  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills, empathy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • Technically savvy (familiarity with sales automation tools) and specifically skilled using Salesforce to manage sales cycles

  • Process-driven, meticulously organized, and self-motivated

  • Ability to adapt and iterate on your sales motion as you navigate a startup selling environment

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $54,400 – $102,000.

If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:  $68,000 – $102,000 : New York City $64,000 – $96,900 : Nassau, Newburgh $54,400 – $81,600 : Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
