The Opportunity:
commercetools has a global team of product managers from all over the world, and we believe our diversity is what makes us a great team. Together with our CPO, VP and Head of Product, our enthusiastic team is defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
As Product Manager – TeamQL, you will drive the vision and strategy for the GraphQL and API experiences, ensuring that all teams can deliver all of their functionalities through it, driving the team in maintaining the Open Source GraphQL libraries ecosystem, and ensuring the team drives awareness and advises on operating GraphQL at scale within the business.

Your Mission:

 
Research and innovate in the area of GraphQL, as part of a cross-functional product team
 
Take the ownership as a team for successful delivery and rolling out of services owned by the team
 
Collaborate closely with your team to identify opportunities, discover effective solutions, and deliver them to the teams within Composable Commerce product domains
 
Contribute to the product vision and strategy in collaboration with product leadership and define the roadmap for your team
 
Become a commercetools product expert and develop a deep understanding of our system architecture
 
Be a part of the commercetools product management team and coordinate your work with product managers from other teams

What you need to succeed:

 
Experience working as a product manager on a technical product, or as technical lead / senior engineer with a strong sense of what brings value to internal and external customers
 
A thorough understanding of system architectures and their benefits and challenges
 
Experience working with API design for best-in-class developer experiences
 
Knowledge of, and ideally experiences in, product discovery techniques
 
Experience working in an Agile environment with collaborative decision making
 
Empathy in communicating with customers, users, team members, and a knack for finding the right level of technical detail when talking to customers and colleagues
 
Experienced and comfortable managing a team with varying seniority
 
Good organizational skills and experience working with technical teams on an API-first product
 
Excellent English communication skills
