Head of Product

JOB DESCRIPTION
imgix is looking to hire an experienced Head of Product to lead and scale data-driven product teams, to own and manage our product roadmap and user experience, and to drive innovation through decisive action. This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact on our product, features, and overall strategy.
The ideal candidate has empathy for our customers and the ability to understand and prioritize their needs via experimentation, user feedback, user research, and data. The position will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of our executive team.
Responsibilities

 
Closely collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to define, guide, and develop the strategy and roadmap of all products and services.
 
Lead, define, represent, and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders.
 
Lead and develop a team of product managers and designers to support product and business growth.
 
Own product roadmap and user experience for our customers (self-service through enterprise level).
 
Direct product lifecycle management from concept to launch across the entire platform.
 
Establish product organization KPIs and operations needed to monitor progress.
 
Develop and create processes for a growing product organization.
 
Develop framework for feature prioritization and new development opportunities.
 
Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
 
Conduct analyses of market opportunities and competitive products.


Requirements

 
8+ years of direct experience in (or comparable relevant experience paired with an interest in) SaaS products and/or Internet services. In particular, experience working with and designing APIs is a huge plus.
 
5+ years of leading a team of product managers, designers, and product lines.
 
Ability to work with and inspire engineers to gain buy-in to a shared product vision.
 
A keen ability to distill many sources of feedback, including from customers, prospects, developers, support engineers, and account managers, into effective product decisions and tasks.
 
A strong desire to document everything, both for the benefit of themselves and the teams that they operate with.
 
A pragmatic approach to identifying scopes and setting deadlines that can ensure we are able to meet our goals.
 
Effective and concise communication skills and experience managing technically complex projects on modern tech stacks.
 
A metrics-driven approach to validating product decisions.
 
Must have an intrinsic excitement for technology. Some technical capabilities, such as basic markup and programming skills, would be ideal.
 
Ability to think creatively, anticipate problems and opportunities, develop and implement a vision.
 
Experience scaling operations in a startup or other fast-growth organization.
