About the Role:
As the Global Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), you will drive our company-wide diversity and inclusion strategy, initiatives, programs, and partnerships. You will serve as a sponsor, strategic partner, and thought leader for DEI at Planet by leveraging your deep subject matter expertise and by keeping your finger on the pulse of industry best practices, benchmarks and emerging DEIB approaches. This role will be directly responsible for further scaling our DEIB actions and practice at Planet and engaging leaders on Planet’s intentional inclusion journey.
As Global Director of DEIB, you will report directly to Planet’s Chief People Officer (CPO) and be a key member of the People Leadership team and Planet’s broader leadership team. You will be a trusted advisor to teams across Planet.
Impact You’ll Own:
You will shape, develop and drive Planet’s DEIB strategy and initiatives, aligned to our mission, vision and values. Areas of focus for Planet include:
Integration of DEIB into core people and business policies and processes along the employee lifecycle (e.g. recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, recognition, succession)
Continuous assessment and analysis of Planet’s DEIB initiatives to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team and the People Leadership Team to drive change through DEI metrics and track progress to goals
Develop and launch focused and broad initiatives that enable everyone to attract, develop and retain underrepresented employees across the company
Partner with Communications to promote meaningful internal and external communication channels to keep all employees informed about our DEIB strategy, goals, initiatives, and progress to plan.
Listen and integrate the voices of Planet's Employee Resource Groups into the overall DEI strategy and leverage their power of connection, community, and engagement to maximize impact
Collaborate with senior leaders, managers and employees to identify and address barriers to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
Serve as an influential leader, trusted advisor and change agent to implement effective and innovative solutions that deliver meaningful results at scale
Manage DEIB program and training budgets and prepare them for approval from the rest of the executive team
Stay on top of trends, laws, and regulations, and other factors influencing DEIB programs
Advise executive team on matters related to diversity and inclusion
Create and deliver education and training opportunities for staff to expand their DEIB knowledge and practices and improve the overall cultural competence within the organization
What You Bring:
10+ years of practical experience that includes designing and implementing DEIB programs in fast growing, global organizations
Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan
Proven track record of facilitating enterprise-level DEIB initiatives with and across the senior leadership layer and the global employee base
Exceptional facilitation and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) exhibited at all levels within an organization
Experience successfully partnering cross-functionally (i.e. within highly matrixed, complex corporate environments) to define, produce, and implement programs that inspire employees, advance psychological safety and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging
Proven experience in DEIB training and coaching
Strong ability to lead, plan, manage, and implement change
Ability to prepare clear, concise, sensitively written materials and presentations and to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors

Compensation:
The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $136,000 - $223,600. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.
