Marketing Senior Manager, Omnichannel Design (US Remote)

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the design and implementation of Omnichannel promotions for Otezla, the first and only oral therapy approved for any adult patient with plaque psoriasis. Otezla exceeded $2B in worldwide product sales in 2021 and represents an important growth opportunity for Amgen over the next several years with a robust life-cycle management plan. Most importantly, Otezla serves a differentiated and key role in the market for patients who may have tried a topical therapy but are not yet ready for biologic treatment. Otezla can have a significant impact on patients, and you can influence and further evolve Otezlas promotional strategy and tactics to HCPs.

This role will report to the Marketing Director for Otezla and is primarily responsible for designing and implementing the HCP omnichannel ecosystem for Otezla in dermatology. As part of this responsibility, this person will lead the design of the optimal customer experience for the HCP, considering the various ways providers can engage with Amgen, including via the sales force, speaker programs, congresses, digital, and others. Key to this position will be strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership by liaising with Amgens Global Customer Capabilities team and agency partners to understand what capabilities could be implemented for Otezla today and help inform a roadmap to achieve a future optimized state. In addition, this person will be responsible for creative development of marketing materials to support this omnichannel journey, in partnership with the full Otezla HCP marketing team across Rheumatology, Dermatology and Primary Care. Finally, this person will also work closely with our digital agency and marketing operations teams to define and track key performance metrics that will inform both areas of high impact as well as areas requiring rework as we test and learn quickly. This position will consist of agency and vendor management, as well as matrix management across Amgens commercial, global, value & access, medical, legal, regulatory, and analytics functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the US HCP omnichannel customer journey, also known as Customer 360, for Otezla in Dermatology to drive impact and growth for the brand

  • Identify critical leverage points in the patient journey or in HCP behaviors where the brand could have impact via right message, right time, right customer

  • Generate a gap assessment between a desired future omnichannel journey and the current capabilities and assets available to leverage

  • Liaise closely with the global customer capabilities team to deploy journey-relevant capabilities to the Otezla brand and inform future capability needs for Amgen

  • Collaborate with your Otezla HCP cross-functional marketing colleagues and the marketing operations teams to pull through the Otezla brand strategy and key messaging as you develop and implement marketing tactics as needed to bring the omnichannel design to life

  • Partner with medical, legal, regulatory, and other relevant functions to translate scientific data into impactful messaging

  • Work closely with market research, marketing operations, analytics, and competitive intelligence to inform, measure and evolve the omnichannel strategy and individual campaigns

  • Oversee budget and closely monitor spend to ensure cost-effective delivery of all assets and adhere to annual budget obligations

  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand plan and quarterly business reviews

  • Facilitate Medical/Legal/Regulatory compliance approval of all creative assets, and content development through standardized MAC process

  • Collaborate with all cross-brand partners to ensure alignment to the brand strategy and tactical development in a manner that provides the optimal customer experience. Key cross-functional partners include HCP marketing, consumer marketing, sales, medical, value and access, corp comm, and the full Otezla x-functional brand team

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Masters degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelors Degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associates Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or relevant graduate degree in marketing, healthcare management, or related subject area

  • 2+ years experience developing pharmaceutical campaign strategies and tactics for specialty products

  • Proficiency in defining and shaping large, complex problems and working successfully in a highly matrixed organization to deliver tangible, practical solutions

  • Strong executive communication skills with ability to summarize a considerable amount of complex detail into easy-to-understand key takeaways and next steps

  • Self-starter and efficient project manager who is energized to figure it out when not all pieces of the problem are known or well understood; ability to informally lead others to meet multiple priorities simultaneously
